Your Private Island Accommodations

Little Palm Island is an adults-only private island resort in the Lower Florida Keys with 30 thatched-roof bungalow suites, so the whole property stays quiet and uncrowded. For couples, the Island Romance Suites are built around togetherness: about 550 square feet with a large terraced deck, a couples’ lounger, an outdoor copper soaking tub, and an indoor deep-soaking tub. The larger Island Grand and Island Premier suites run close to 1,000 square feet and add four-poster beds and an exclusive beachside section with a private fire pit. None of the suites has a television, and the phones are vintage handsets that reach resort outlets only, which is part of the point.

There are four categories across 15 buildings. Island Romance, the couples' category with 15 suites, gives you about 550 square feet, a large terraced deck with a couples’ lounger, an outdoor copper soaking tub behind canvas drapes and an indoor deep-soaking tub. Island Escape, 11 suites at about 550 square feet, has ocean views, a separate living area, a boudoir tub and an outdoor bamboo shower. Island Grand and Island Premier, two suites each at about 1,000 and 1,020 square feet, add his-and-her bathrooms or panoramic windows plus an exclusive beachside fire pit. An accessible Island Premier suite is also available.

The island holds 30 bungalow suites and a maximum of 60 guests at any one time, and there is no road to it. Every arrival comes by the resort’s motor yacht from the Welcome Station on Little Torch Key, by seaplane, or by private yacht into the resort marina, so there is no passing foot traffic. The resort is adults-only, welcoming guests 18 and older, and the suites are spread across 15 buildings along seashell-lined paths. Personal coolers are not permitted, and all food and beverage consumed in public areas comes from the resort.

The resort is not all-inclusive: food, beverages and spa treatments are charged à la carte. Your suite rate is subject to 12.5% tax, and a 15% resort fee is added to the suite or dockage rate. That fee covers minibar beverages and nibbles, paddleboards, kayaks and Boston Whalers, nightly turndown service, the welcome Gumby Slumber cocktail, motor yacht transfers, valet parking and fitness center access. Food and alcoholic beverages carry 7.5% tax and a 22% gratuity, which you may adjust. Reservations require up to a two-night deposit at booking, with the balance due 30 days before arrival.
