With over three decades of professional experience, Chef Richard is a culinary aficionado, delivering consistent world-class service and drawing from an impressive career that spans from California to Miami and the Florida Keys to Puerto Rico. After enrolling in the University for Culinary Arts, Chef Richard kickstarted his career in Puerto Rico when he entered the culinary world at two esteemed properties – The Ritz-Carlton San Juan and Wyndham Hotel, Intercontinental. Next, he refined his culinary skills as sous chef at two Noble House Hotels & Resorts properties – Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale and The River Terrace Inn in Napa Valley – before returning to South Florida as executive chef at Nautilus by Arlo in Miami.

Chef Richard shares that he especially enjoys working with fresh chilies, passion fruit, fresh herbs, garlic, root vegetables, pork and steak, and loves living in the Florida Keys for the location’s beautiful weather and incredible seafood options.
