Frequently Asked Questions

From asking where is Little Palm Island Resort to wondering whether there are any televisions in paradise, here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, please be sure to contact us directly.

Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 12:00pm.

Your suite rate is subject to 12.5% tax. A resort fee of 15% will be added to your suite or dockage rate. All food and alcoholic beverages are subject to 7.5% tax and a 22% gratuity for our food and beverage servers which may be adjusted at your discretion. Gratuities for all other team members are appreciated but are solely at the guest’s discretion.

The nightly room or dockage rate is subject to a 15% resort fee which includes:

  • Minibar beverages and nibbles
  • Paddleboards, Kayaks and Boston Whalers
  • Nightly turndown service
  • Welcome “Gumby Slumber” cocktail
  • Motor yacht transfers
  • Valet Parking
  • Island wide Wi-Fi
  • Fitness center access

All of our suites are non-smoking. Guests are welcome to smoke on the outdoor veranda of their suite. There is no smoking in The Dining Room, pool or beach area.

Should you not show up for your intended visit, your entire advance deposit will be retained.

All reservations require up to a two-night deposit (including tax and resort fee) due at the time of booking. The remainder of reservation balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Should a credit card decline after booking, the reservation will be cancelled. Guests will need to make a new reservation with a valid payment method.

Getting to Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is as much fun as staying here. Our Little Torch Key hotel is so remote, it’s only accessible by seaplane or boat. For more specific information and directions, please visit our Getting Here page.

While we are island casual, when in The Dining Room gentlemen are asked to wear a collared shirt. Swimsuits are not allowed in The Dining Room and, for your safety, shoes are required.

We do not permit pets on the island.

We do not permit children under the age of 18 on the island. Guests are required to be at least 21 years of age to check into a room.

We adhere to a very strict cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable. All deposits are non–transferable to alternate dates; however, you are welcome to send someone else in your place. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed date, you will be responsible for the full amount of your intended stay.

To enhance your experience, telephones and televisions are intentionally absent from your suite. Each suite is equipped with a phone that connects to several in-house island amenities, only. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the island, and a television is located in the Great Room.

Due to the limited number of suites, we regret that we cannot guarantee suite assignments, however we will try to accommodate your request.

There is a 22% service charge added for your convenience as a gratuity, which may be adjusted at your discretion.

Please arrive 5-to-10 minutes prior to your spa appointment time. Feel free to arrive in your bathrobe and sandals, or in whatever is comfortable. If you arrive late for your spa service, your treatment will be modified. All spa treatments end on time so that the next guest will not be inconvenienced.

To cancel without charge, please give us 24 hours’ notice. You will be charged the full price of your spa service if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled time or fail to show up. Rescheduling your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled time will result in a 50% charge of its value. We will make every attempt to fill your vacant appointment time, and will not charge you if we are able to do so.

To secure your desired time, make your SpaTerre reservation early by calling 305.422.4235 (in house 221) or emailing [email protected]. All spa services can be billed to your room or paid for with a major credit card. If you would like to request a particular therapist, please let us know when you book your spa appointment.

We provide motor yacht service to the island from 9:30am to 9:30pm. Should you need service before or after this time, you may incur a Captain’s fee. Our schedule is as follows:

As an adults-only private island resort, Little Palm Island welcomes guests 18 years of age and older. This policy helps preserve the ambiance that defines the island experience, including within all dining settings.

Dining at Little Palm Island is intended to be an unhurried, immersive experience. To preserve the serene and intimate atmosphere, we kindly ask that cell phones remain on silent and conversations be kept at a respectful volume, whether you are dining in The Dining Room, the veranda or on the beach.

Little Palm Island embraces a relaxed yet refined style. While jackets and ties are not required, we ask that guests dress in a manner befitting the elegant island setting.

Gentlemen: Collared shirts and pants are preferred for dinner. Polo shirts with tailored shorts are suitable for lunch, while breakfast attire may be more casual but please refrain from wearing jeans or beachwear in dining areas.

Ladies: Comfortable dresses or polished resort wear are ideal for dinner. Sundresses or breezy ensembles are perfect for breakfast and lunch. As with gentlemen, jeans and beachwear are not appropriate in The Dining Room.

Many guests describe our dress code as what you might wear to a private country club, paired with the style and sophistication of a tropical escape.

Your journey to and from Little Palm Island by scenic boat transfer is approximately 15 minutes.

Complimentary boat transfers depart the Shore Station at the bottom of every hour (:30) and return from Little Palm Island to shore at the top of every hour (:00). To ensure a seamless experience, please refer to the available reservation times based on the ferry schedule.

Breakfast: Monday-Sunday 8:00 am-10:30 am (8:30 am or 9:30 am reservation)

Lunch: Monday- Saturday 11:00 am-2:00 pm (11:30 am or 12:30 pm reservation)

Dinner: Monday-Sunday 6:00 pm-9:00 pm (5:30 pm or 6:30 pm reservation)

Brunch: Sunday 11:00 am-2:00 pm (11:30 am or 12:30 pm reservation)

We look forward to hosting you for an unforgettable dining experience. Your reservation time reflects the scheduled ferry departure from the Shore Station at Little Torch Key. To ensure a smooth and timely boarding process, we kindly ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your reservation. This allows time for parking, check-in, and to enjoy the ambiance of the Shore Station before departure.

We do not permit personal coolers on the island. All food and beverage consumed in public areas must be purchased from the resort.
